Today, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA), a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, applauded Senate passage of legislation to reauthorize the Older Americans Act (OAA). The legislation authorizes and increases funding for a range of programs and services to help older Americans age in their homes and communities. It also includes key provisions secured by Kaine, including his bill to strengthen advocacy for residents of nursing homes and other long-term care (LTC) facilities.
