JUNEAU, Alaska, Sept. 22 -- The Alaska Department of Law (Attorney General) issued the following news release:

(Fairbanks, AK) - On Sept. 17, 2026, Superior Court Judge Brent Bennett sentenced 36-year-old Julian Miranda for two counts of Sexual Assault in the First Degree for sexually assaulting two Fairbanks women in 2012. On March 4, 2026 a Fairbanks jury found Miranda guilty of both crimes.
Fairbanks Superior Court Judge Bennett presided over the trial and sentenced Miranda to serve a total of 30 years of active jail time. After serving his sentence, Miranda will be on probation for ten years, and will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
