JACKSON, Miss., Oct. 2 -- The Mississippi Development Authority issued the following news release:
Gasifier manufacturer Janus Organization is locating operations in Greenwood. The project represents a corporate investment of nearly $2.1 million and will create 13 jobs.
Janus' gasifiers are used in the treatment of specialty wastes, including medical, pharmaceutical and rubber tire feedstock. The gasifier technology breaks down waste at the molecular level using high heat to reduce waste volume while producing minimal emissions. Janus' Greenwood operations will manufacture gasifiers designed for the treatment of specialty waste streams.
