MACOMB, IL - - Former Western Illinois University Financial Aid Advisor Janice J. Wayland, 79, of Macomb, IL, passed away on August 3.
Wayland graduated from Macomb High School in 1965 and began her career at WIU in the Student Insurance Office, where she worked from 1965 to 1968. She returned to the University in 1976 and served as a Financial Aid Advisor in the Financial Aid Office until her retirement in 2009.
Wayland was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Macomb and the Macomb Country Club. Above all, she cherished her family and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities and sporting events.
