Today, the Indiana congressional delegation sent a letter to President Donald Trump in support of Governor Mike Braun's August 20, 2026, request for a major disaster declaration following severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that began on August 11.
The delegation thanked President Trump for his swift approval of federal emergency assistance following the August storms and urged him to approve Governor Braun's August 20 major disaster declaration request, while reiterating the delegation's support for the governor's pending request for the June storms.
