IN THEIR SHOES: FLORIDA INSTITUTE FOR CHILD WELFARE TO HOST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SIMULATION DURING FSU DISCOVERY DAYS

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Oct. 13 -- Florida State University issued the following news release:

As part of Florida State University's annual Discovery Days, the Florida Institute for Child Welfare will host an interactive learning simulation designed to help participants better understand the realities faced by survivors of domestic violence.

In the In Their Shoes simulation -- >, participants assume the role of a parent navigating life while experiencing domestic violence. They complete real-world scenarios that simulate common barriers survivors face and make decisions related to safety, housing, finances, employment and family well-being.
