BLACKSBURG, Va., April 17 -- Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University issued the following news release:
Pavithra Sundaresh, a senior in the School of Neuroscience, passed away on March 30. She was 20 years old.
Pavi, as known to her family and friends, brought "joy into every room she walked into," said her father, SundareshKrishnan. She had the ability to be both intensely focused on her education - she had set her sights on becoming a doctor - and "wonderfully goofy," her father said.
"At home, she was like a child, full of laughter and life," he said.
During drive, Pavi loved to do carpool karaoke, with a favorite being "What Is This Feeling" from the movie "Wicked" or something from "KPop Demon Hunters."
