On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) met with Sikh truck drivers, businesses, and community members to talk about the ongoing threat of losing their commercial driver's license (CDLs) and the impact this has on their livelihoods, community, and local economies.
The threats come as the Trump administration is pushing to withhold federal funding from California if it does not revoke licenses from Sikh CDL holders the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) alleges are in violation.
