U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) and several of her colleagues today endorsed a request made by the U.S. farm-raised catfish industry for the U.S. Department of Agriculture to help the industry by purchasing surplus catfish products.

Hyde-Smith led a letter (https://www.hydesmith.senate.gov/sites/default/files/2026-06/Letter_Section%2032_Hill%20Support_2026.pdf) to Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins asking her to approve a request to purchase U.S. farm-raised catfish products through the Agricultural Marketing Service Section 32 Program.
