Dear EWU Employees,
Eastern Washington University recognizes the significant impact that the recent wildfire emergencies have had on members of our community. To provide support to employees experiencing serious wildfire-related hardships, the University has adopted an emergency policy,Wildfire Leave Policy (EWU Policy 403-07), effectiveAugust 1, 2026. This policy was approved by the President on an emergency basis and will remain in effect through February 14, 2027, unless adopted as a permanent policy.
