Hirono (D-HI) joined Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee Ranking Member Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and nine other colleagues in sending a letter urging Secretary of Education Linda McMahon to reverse the U.S. Department of Education's decision to discontinue $168 million in grants for the Full-Service Community School Program (FSCS) across 12 states.
