U.S. Senators John Hickenlooper joined 33 of his Senate colleagues to demand the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Markwayne Mullin immediately halt the Department's efforts to take control of and weaken public trust in the 2026 midterm elections.
The senators demanded evidence for Mullin's public claims about noncitizens who registered to vote, called on DHS to rescind new election-related conditions on Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) homeland security grants, release the full grant funding to states, and end the alleged "Unlawful Voter Initiative" disclosed by a recent whistleblower.
