The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) today sent letters to leading medical organizations requesting that they state clearly whether they continue to support sex-rejecting procedures for minors and account for the evidence-base and HHS reports showing the harms these interventions inflict on minors in their guidance and position statements.
The letters were sent to the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, American Psychological Association, Endocrine Society, and others.
