KINGSTON, R.I., June 4 -- The University of Rhode Island issued the following news release:
KINGSTON, R.I.-June 4, 2026-Representatives from the Donald P. and Elaine M. Hayden Foundation and the University of Rhode Island met to review the successful completion of year two of the $750,000 Hayden Student Success Scholarship.
The Hayden Foundation gift, made in the fall of 2024, is being distributed evenly over three years to provide emergency scholarships to enable Rhode Island students facing unexpected financial obstacles to continue their education at URI so they can achieve their academicgoals and career success. The University matches Hayden's annual financial commitment.
