Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), a senior member and former chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, questioned stakeholders (https://www.finance.senate.gov/hearings/the-us-mexico-canada-agreement-evaluating-north-american-competitiveness) about the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement's (USMCA) benefits to the U.S. economy, including strengthening supply chains against unfair competition from countries like China, ahead of a joint review (https://www.congress.gov/crs-product/R48787) of the agreement later this year.

Grassley also emphasized the importance of congressional consultations in trade negotiations and asked about dairy access to Canada.
