WASHINGTON, Sept. 29 -- Sen. Chuck Grassley issued the following news release:
WASHINGTON - Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) questioned former Special Counsel Jack Smith at today's oversight hearing on Smith's abuse of authority and targeting of Republicans.
Grassley pressed Smith on his collection of thousands of Americans' personal banking information, as well as his team's exposure of classified materials, retaliation against whistleblowers and disregard for constitutional guardrails. Smith stood by his former colleagues' reckless and political actions.
