GRASSLEY-BACKED LEGISLATION TO IMPROVE TAXPAYER SERVICE ADVANCES

BUTLER COUNTY, IOWA - U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), a senior member and former chairman of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee, welcomed the U.S. Senate's unanimous passage of theTaxpayer Assistance and Service (TAS) Act, bipartisan legislation to strengthen taxpayer rights, modernize Internal Revenue Service (IRS) operations and improve the agency's ability to administer the tax code predictably and efficiently. The TAS Act includes more than 65 bipartisan reforms to improve the taxpayer experience, including recommendations from the National Taxpayer Advocate.
