Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) welcomed an announcement (https://www.epa.gov/newsreleases/epa-announces-35-million-grants-assess-and-cleanup-communities-iowa) from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that Iowa will receive $2.5 million in federal funding authorized by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which Grassley supported (https://www.grassley.senate.gov/news/news-releases/grassley-votes-to-invest-in-iowas-future) in 2021. The total includes $2 million in Brownfields Multipurpose, Assessment and Cleanup (MAC) grants to accelerate the cleanup of polluted sites and $500,000 to one high-performing Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) grantee.
