WASHINGTON, Feb. 9 -- Sen. Lindsey Graham issued the following press release:
U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today unveiled updated text of the End Sanctuary Cities Act of 2026.
Graham filed the updated text after close consultation with the Trump White House. He plans to seek a vote on this legislation this week.
Graham has maintained that the root cause of the chaos surrounding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids stems from the fact that twelve states, including Minnesota, as well as dozens of local jurisdictions across the country have enacted sanctuary city policies. These practices include the obstruction of federal immigration enforcement efforts that, in turn, create a safe haven for illegal aliens.
