Governor Phil Scott and the Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD) today announced $4,243,069 in Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding for the City of Barre, marking the third and final round of awards to support recovery from the July 2023 floods.
The North End Buyouts and Housing project will convert Wobby Park into a housing development consisting of 17 townhomes. The project also includes three buyouts, consisting of two commercial properties and one residential property in the city's North End. The buyout sites will be converted into greenspace and will serve as the new site for the relocated Wobby Park.
