DES MOINES, April 15 -- The Office of the Governor issued the following news release:
Today, Governor Kim Reynolds issuedadisaster proclamation for Buchanan, Clay, Henry, Palo Alto, and PlymouthCounties in response to severe weather that occurred on April 13, 2026, and continuing. Governor Reynolds' proclamation allows state resources to beutilizedto respond to and recover from the effects of this severe weather and activates the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program and the Disaster Case Advocacy Program for those counties. The proclamation is effectiveimmediatelyand will remain in effect for 30 days unlessterminatedor extended.
