Congressman John Moolenaar released the following statement in response to Gotion, a company beholden to the Chinese Communist Party, reaching a settlement agreement in its lawsuit against Green Charter Township, the community which wholly rejected it:
"Four years ago, Gotion came to Michigan with rosy promises, an influence campaign on local and state leaders, and misled the community about its ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
