Today, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (THUD), announced $307 million in funding for the Second Avenue Subway Extension project and $700 million for the Gateway Hudson Tunnel project. This funding, allocated through the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Fiscal Year 2026 Capital Investment Grants Program, was provided by the enacted FY26 THUD appropriations bill.
