Florida State University has been awarded more than $19 million in grants through the Rural Health Transformation Program to launch six newprojects and provide resources to improve the quality of life of individuals and communities throughout the state.

The five-year,$50 billionRural Health Transformation Program, administeredthrough the Centers for Medicare&Medicaid Services,wasauthorized by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act,signedinto law inJuly 2025.The program is designedto help states transform and update healthcare delivery by improving access,qualityand outcomes, thereby strengthening rural communities.
