Walter Golet, associate professor of marine sciences at the University of Maine, was featured on Fox Bangor discussing how tracking and tagging sharks can inform conservation, offshore infrastructure development, fisheries management and public safety. "If you can understand their life history and if there are particular areas in the Gulf of Maine where those animals spend a lot of their time, maybe that's an area that we don't do a development," said Golet.
