WASHINGTON, Aug. 19 -- Food and Drug Administration has issued a proposed rule called: International Association of Color Manufacturers; Filing of Color Additive Petition.
The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 19 by Grace R. Graham, Deputy Commissioner for Policy, Legislation, and International Affairs.
Summary: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA or we) is announcing that we have filed a petition, submitted by the International Association of Color Manufacturers, proposing that we amend our color additive regulations to provide for the safe use of acetone as a solvent in the manufacture of carrot oil.
