WASHINGTON, April 23 -- Food and Drug Administration has issued a notice called: Harmful and Potentially Harmful Constituents in Tobacco Products and Tobacco Smoke; Established List Additions and Request for Comments.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on April 23 by Grace R. Graham, Deputy Commissioner for Policy, Legislation, and International Affairs.
Summary: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA, the Agency, or we) is adding constituents to the list of harmful and potentially harmful constituents (HPHCs) in tobacco products and tobacco smoke (the established HPHC list) as required by the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the FD&C Act).
