WASHINGTON, March 18 -- Sen. Kevin Cramer issued the following press release:

The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) awarded $2,057,009 (https://ciosenus.box.com/s/seqgwhqw2vzt9avbrlk7z89kydhb897h) to two North Dakota tribal nations through the Tribal Transportation Program Safety Fund. The funds are distributed as follows:

* $1,280,819 to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe for the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) 3400 Roadway Realignment Safety Project. These funds will be used for engineering and construction to realign an approximately 0.8-mile section of BIA 3400 to address slope, drainage, and crash history.

* $776,190 to the Spirit Lake Tribe for the Oyate Walkway Thin Lift Overlay & Accessibility Impr...
