WASHINGTON, April 17 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a rule called: Amendment of Class E5 Airspace Over Elizabeth City, NC.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on April 17 by Patrick Young, Manager, Airspace & Procedures Team North, Eastern Service Center, Air Traffic Organization.
Summary: This action amends Class E5 airspace over Elizabeth City, NC. This action adds Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface within a 6-mile radius of Sentara Albemarle Medical Center Heliport. This addition of airspace is necessary because of new instrument approach procedures that have been developed for the heliport.
