FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION ISSUES RULE: AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES; THE BOEING COMPANY AIRPLANES

WASHINGTON, July 2 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a rule called: Airworthiness Directives; The Boeing Company Airplanes.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on July 2 by Brian Knaup, Acting Deputy Director, Integrated Certificate Management Division, Aircraft Certification Service.

Summary: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 787-8, 787-9, and 787-10 airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of door assist handles pulled loose from their lower attach point in the doorway support bracket during pre-flight checks.
