WASHINGTON, July 30 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a rule called: Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on July 30 by Brian Knaup, Acting Deputy Director, Integrated Certificate Management Division, Aircraft Certification Service.
Summary: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus SAS Model A330-841 and Model A330-941 airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of crack findings on the sloping rib. This AD requires a repetitive inspection of the external surface of each sloping rib and each slat 1 inboard seal, and applicable corrective actions. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
