WASHINGTON, Dec. 10 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Airworthiness Directives; Extra Aerobatic Aircraft GmbH Airplanes.
The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Dec. 10 by Steven W. Thompson, Acting Deputy Director, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, Aircraft Certification Service.
Summary: The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Extra Aerobatic Aircraft GmbH (Extra) Model EXTRA NG airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of the canopy opening or detaching in flight because of a partially or improperly locked canopy.
