WASHINGTON, Feb. 25 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Feb. 25 by Lona C. Saccomando, Acting Deputy Director, Integrated Certificate Management Division, Aircraft Certification Service.

Summary: The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus SAS Model A350-941 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a determination that double overcoating sealant was not applied during production on certain fasteners in the center wing box (CWB) and belly faring junction for both left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) sides, and certain fasteners are also susceptible to rotation.
