ATLANTA, June 1 -- The U.S. Department of Justice's Federal Bureau of Investigation Atlanta Field Office issued the following press release:
FBI Atlanta is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the capture and conviction of Arthur Cofield. FBI Atlanta is assisting the United States Marshals Service in the case.
Cofield, 34, escaped from Federal Correctional Institute (FCI) Jesup on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026. He was serving an 11 year and 3-month sentence for Conspiracy to Commit Bank Fraud and Aggravated Identity Theft. Here is the 2020 press release about his conviction:
