FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Fayetteville State University Theatre will open its 2026-27 season with "Godspell," the Tony Award-nominated musical by John Michael Tebelak and Stephen Schwartz, Nov. 5-7 at Butler Theatre.
Directed by Evan Bridenstine, Ph.D., "Godspell" features scenic design professor David Griffie and student designers Santana Moore and Joshua Ellis. Produced in association with Sweet Tea Shakespeare, the musical draws inspiration from the Gospel of Matthew and reimagines familiar parables through contemporary storytelling and music.
