Today, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) joined her colleagues in introducing the bipartisan Securing America's Fuels Act to strengthen the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) industry while supporting American-grown crops and cleaner aviation fuel.
Building on an Ernst-led amendment (https://www.congress.gov/amendment/119th-congress/senate-amendment/2659/text?s=5&r=11) during the Working Families and Tax Cuts discussion, this legislation would reinstate the SAF bonus credit - allowing qualifying SAF producers to receive between $0.35 and $1.75 per gallon - and extend the 45Z Clean Fuel Production Tax Credit for all clean fuels through 2033.
