ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: PROPOSED DELETION FROM THE NATIONAL PRIORITIES LIST

WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 -- Environmental Protection Agency has issued a proposed rule called: Proposed Deletion From the National Priorities List.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 20 by Mark Barolo, Office Director, Office of Superfund and Emergency Management.

Summary: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is issuing a Notice of Intent to partially delete three sites from the National Priorities List (NPL) and requests public comments on this proposed action. The NPL, promulgated pursuant to the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) of 1980, as amended, is an appendix of the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP).
