WASHINGTON, Feb. 12 -- Environmental Protection Agency has issued a proposed rule called: Approval and Promulgation of Air Quality Implementation Plans; Oklahoma; Regional Haze State Implementation Plan for the Second Implementation Period.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Feb. 12 by Walter Mason, Regional Administrator, Region 6.

Summary: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve the regional haze state implementation plan (SIP) revision submitted by the State of Oklahoma on August 9, 2022 (Oklahoma's 2022 SIP submission), to satisfy applicable requirements under the Clean Air Act (CAA) and the EPA's Regional Haze Rule (RHR) for the program's second implementation (planning) period.
