ATHENS, Ga., Feb. 27 -- The University of Georgia issued the following news release:
Elizabeth Weeks, who has served as the University of Georgia's interim vice provost for academic affairs since June 2025, has been named to the position on a permanent basis. Her appointment is effective immediately.
"Throughout her distinguished career at UGA, Professor Weeks has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to academic excellence," said Benjamin C. Ayers, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost.
