With over 200 Metra bridges in dire need of repair in Chicago, the Building Rail Infrastructure for a Durable & Growing Economy (BRIDGE) Act would establish a first-ever $1.5 billion competitive grant program to fund the long-overdue maintenance, replacement and rehabilitation of commuter rail bridges in Illinois and across the country.
