WASHINGTON, April 28 -- Drug Enforcement Administration has issued a rule called: Schedules of Controlled Substances: Rescheduling of Food and Drug Administration Approved Products Containing Marijuana From Schedule I to Schedule III; Corresponding Change to Permit Requirements.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on April 28 by Todd Blanche, Acting Attorney General.

Summary: With the issuance of this final rule, which constitutes a final order, the Acting Attorney General of the U.S. Department of Justice places drug products containing marijuana that have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in schedule III of the Controlled Substances Act ("CSA").
