MACOMB, IL - -Western Illinois University is partnering with the City of Macomb, Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce, Spoon River College and Macomb School District to host the annual Downtown Block Party from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, in Chandler Park.
This year's event offers new and existing students the opportunity to learn about the Macomb community and network with friends, faculty and staff.
The event will feature live music, a foam party, a petting zoo, a table fair, a chicken lip-eating contest and more.
WIU students, faculty and staff are invited to volunteer at the WIU booth and/or assist in making the event successful...
