The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) announced an award of $24,000,000 to the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) for the I-94 State of Good Repair Project through the Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) grant program.

This funding will support the replacement of an approximately 10-mile stretch of westbound I-94 with modern pavement, addressing buckling failures and improving the roadway's long-term durability. High-tension cable guard rails will be installed in the median and asphalt overlays will be added at existing interchanges and ramps.
