WASHINGTON - The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the following statement debunking the lies spread by New York sanctuary politicians after a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer discharged his weapon during an attempted arrest of an illegal alien gang member in New York City. DHS also highlighted the fact that a collective total of nearly 15,000 immigration detainers issued by ICE were not honored due to sanctuary policies.
