Washington, Oct. 1 -- Congressman Chris Deluzio issued the following press release:

CARNEGIE, PA - Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) and Congresswoman Summer Lee (PA-12) announced $11,023,181 in federal funding to upgrade thousands of feet of lighting and pavement on Runway 10L/28R at the Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), further modernizing Western Pennsylvanians' go-to airport.

The U.S. Department of Transportation awards this money through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The multi-phase funding will help extend the service life of the runway, minimize Foreign Object Debris (FOD), improve aircrafts' ride quality, and make the airfield safer at Pittsburgh International Airport.
