HANOI, Vietnam -
U.S. diplomatic and defense officials joined international partners and military veterans at the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency Detachment 2 headquarters, Sept. 22, 2026, to commemorate National POW/MIA Recognition Day.
The annual ceremony, held in the courtyard of the Detachment 2 facility, paid tribute to American personnel who were prisoners of war or remain missing in action, while highlighting more than four decades of humanitarian cooperation between the United States and Vietnam.
