WASHINGTON - Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz (TX-15) joined officials from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to announce more than $31 million in available funding for Jim Wells County Fresh Water Supply District #1. Secured through the FY26 government funding legislation, the grant will fund critical infrastructure improvements in Ben Bolt. Specifically, the project will construct a new wastewater collection system connected to the City of Alice wastewater treatment plant and deliver sewer service to Ben Bolt for the first time.
