Today, Congressmen Jason Crow (D-CO-06) and Joe Neguse (D-CO-02) conducted an unannounced oversight visit of the GEO ICE facility in Aurora.
The visit is their first since a federal judge granted Crow and Neguse emergency relief to visit federal immigration facilities unannounced, following the Trump Administration's previous attempts to block them from doing so.
Under federal law, Members of Congress have the right to conduct unannounced oversight of DHS facilities used for immigration detention, including facilities run by ICE and those operated by private companies.
