On the day of the annual March for Life, U.S. Senator for Idaho Mike Crapo, along with 10 of his Republican Seante colleagues, joined U.S. Senator Mike Rounds (R-South Dakota) to introduce the Life at Conception Act, which would legally recognize the right to life by extending 14th Amendment protections to unborn children.
The Life at Conception Act clarifies in statute that the right to life guaranteed by the Constitution is vested in each human being at all stages of life. This is defined as the moment of conception, or any other moment at which an individual comes into being.
