Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today sent a letter to U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon encouraging additional scrutiny of Chinese investments in American universities which allow Communist China to advance their interests while undermining American innovation and national security.
In part, Senator Cotton wrote:
"I commend the Department of Education's work to improve transparency, which includes actions against universities that have failed to comply with statutory financial reporting requirements.
